For the first time i feel like Ye is uninspired and tries to be different for the sake of it. But maybe it's just me..

I think the opposite...

Seems like he's very inspired; going directly @ the corps; dark, anti-establishment vibe with a totally consistent aesthetic and vibe. MBTF was more him trying to be different for the sake of it, coming up with a really contrived metaphor and straining creativity...

This is stripped-down, direct and ballsy.

Yeah, it's cool that he goes off on corps and stuff but he looks like an hypocrite because he's calling them out and yet without them he wouldn't be anywhere.

He's performing on big stages, marketing his music (I know you don't really think he would have been allowed to project his head on big buildings like that without any authorizations..) He's kinda just going at them for the fuck of it. Well, that's how I feel..

Yet I think his ideas are great. His marketing is cool. Everything seems better than it was except for the music.. The concepts are OK, the way he executes them are not in my opinion.

Also what's with that Black Power shit? New Slaves, Black Skinheads.. Come on, Yeezy. 80% of his fans are white suburban kids..

^ Well I wouldn't say he wouldn't be anywhere without them...

He funds a lot of his own shit, especially in the beginning and as for appearing on music stations or tv channels... these are the decisions of producers, not corperations.

But yeah the black power / black shit is getting tiring. It's not any less racist just because it's black.

It's 2013 not the 70s. He wishes he was part of a black power movement, so he's trying to recreate one or imply that he is lmao... but, people are, in the Western world, on the whole: united, so, it's outdated and tiring when black rappers keep going on like they're persecuted. Palease.
