They are dope indeed... I like that distinctive Memphis sound too!

Of course... there was that MJ & Scottie Pippen reference for Outkast back in the day & honestly there was never a doubt about who's better. The thing is they are better as a group than whoever out of them as a solo though.

South doesn't get included tbh they have like 4 dope artists imo

Damn Ray... I can't believe you posted this homie! lol

Why? lol

Come on man... lol The South has brought so many great fucking legends man... I thought you were kidding. There are like at least 5 southern states that could go on the map on their own with enough greatness to make it official.

No disrespect but Canadian rap is nowhere near... way behind.

I prefer rock/metal over Southern Rap
In what way is Canadian rap way behind? There are tons of dope rappers in Canada that we don't see in the mainstream and don't forget that the States have 10 times plus the amount of people we have. In terms of skill level I don't even think that would make an argument.

My bad... I didn't know you were talking about a personal taste. :y:

He is my all time fave one fore sure... his first 3 albums were enough for me to put him there for good. That's why I said I love both East & West Coast rap scenes the most but my fave rapper is ironically from the region which rap scene I like the least.

North led to Drake.

I'm going to assassinate drake once I become eminem's new protégé.

I know but it was never put as North on the hip-hop map... even Chi-Town in that matter.

The same thing as California counted as a West Coast state while Florida as a southern one.

There sound doesn't necessarily represent where they are from...for example they could be from the East and spit like they from the South.

I get what you're saying but it's different...the mainstream artists from all regions generalized their sound in similar direction in a way to match the formula for commercial success.

I've heard West coast rappers & ones from the south spit like East coast ones but if I'm not mistaken I've never heard East coast rappers spitting like ones from the south. Like MIMS & French are really some weird New York breed of rappers but they don't really sound like southern rappers either.

Good poll. I had to think a little before choosing Mid-West over West Coast mostly because of Eminem and Tech N9ne.
