Honestly, I think this album is getting way to much unwarranted hate. They're judging it as a rap album where really, other than 2-3 songs, it's barely even a rap album. Kanye went outside of the box for this one and while it wasn't perfect and it doesn't even compare to his older albums, it's still a pretty good album for me. The only songs I really don't like are On Sight, I Am A God, and I'm In It. Blood on the Leaves might be my favorite song this year so far tbh.

Well the fact they're quoting critics as proof of the album's greatness is a big clue...

And, I'm not depressed?... and arrogant?... how? Because I don't think Yeezus is groundbreaking?

Also that last sentence was so tryhard, what the hell are you talking about lmao.

someone said "If critics think x I'm done"
Someone else said "critics do think x"
Then you come in and go "lol, think for yourself"

NOBODY quoted a critic to prove anything, only to support the statement that "critics do think x".

Yes you're arrogant, and I pointed it out without trying hard at all. Responding to statements with 1000 word essays to prove a point, although entertaining, is the definition of trying hard ;)

How did you manage to point out I'm arrogant... ? You didn't actually do anything of the sort, I misread in to somebody quoting critics - that's a genuine mistake not arrogance lmao.

Also naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, I sometimes type a lot when I'm passionate or am trying to write what's in my head as clearly as possible... that's not trying hard. I don't go out of my way to write a lot, I just happen to sometimes. Some people express themselves in a few words, some in a lot... in person I don't tend to speak very much but when writing it comes out that way, as I'm more introverted. So no, that's not arrogance and that's not trying hard. ;)

Comments like "Lol, think for yourself" come off as very arrogant whether you like it or not.

But you're kind of right, I didn't really point it out, because I thought it was glaringly obvious. But in case you do actually have Asperger's, now I have.

If somebody was quoting critics as proof of whether an album is good or not (which I thought they were; my mistake but for the sake of what I'm saying here)... responding with 'lol, think for yourself'... is not arrogant. How is responding to think for yourself @ somebody quoting other people's thoughts (literally using other people's thoughts as argument) as proof of something being good, arrogant...

It ain't. It's a pretty standard and level-headed response to somebody not thinking for themselves.

No, a level headed response would be a retort void of judgement. You made the judgement that they don't think for themselves which in itself is offensive. By definition arrogance is making undue claims in an overbearing manner which is exactly what you just did.

nobody on this site is gonna say you're not arrogant.

No. If somebody posts criticial reviews as proof of something's worth, therefore not making statements themselves to back-up the claim (which is what I thought happened) - that's not thinking for yourself, so to say 'think for yourself' in response to that, is a totally normal response.

Definition of arrogant is:

"Having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities"

Saying 'think for yourself' in response to somebody posting somebody else's thoughts as evidence of something has nothing to do with what I think of myself, it's a response to something very basic.

If you see someone punch a stranger for what you believe is no reason, do you think it's arrogant to say "wow man, chill out"... ? which is similar to my response. It's a "lol... why do that" kind of response, if you think that's arrogance, you have a very strange definition of it that's not in accordance to how the word is typically defined in language, which means you choose to define words how you see fit. Now that actually is arrogance. So once again, no.

And actually I'm sure quite a few would, those that actually know me here. Abram may for example; you won't because you don't actually know me... you've just taken a very normal response and the fact I 'write a lot' (yeah because... writing a lot is so arrogant...) and judged (the very thing you're apparently criticizing me for). Fool.

That's no insult EmBase but you really gotta relax and look at things from a different perspective.

Except EmBase admitted his mistake...

Then i'll take my L and promise to read before posting :sweating:

Arguing with Embase is like criticizing Eminem.

You get a bunch of stans supporting him, adding worthless/biased back-up.
I'm not tryin to be rude, but I sincerely wanna fuck the taste out of your mouth
