I'm not a Lupe fan, but DAMN this track is crazy!
Same sword they knight you they gon' good night you with
Sh.., Thats' only half if they like you
That ain't even the half what they might do
Don't believe me, ask Michael
See Martin, see Malcolm
You see Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome
See Jesus, see Judas; see Caesar, see Brutus
See success is like suicide
Suicide, it's a suicide
If you succeed, prepare to be crucified

Because I actually listen to them, and they have never once said anything racist. People like to twist shit to make them seem racist just because they are conservatives. I guarantee you that Lupe never listens to their programs.

i remember that a little bit, but i don't have time to read up. Calling someone a racist doesn't make you a racist, because that would make 99% of the world racist lol.

Never really listened to Lupe much but i stayed up until 12 to hear this. Great song and great beat. Lupe's lyrics are really powerful and Skylar is great on the hook as always. Can't wait to hear Lasers. :smoking:

Dude have you listened to Glen Beck before?

If we had his way, America would get rid of all the foreigners, all the Latinos, and have the blacks going back to slavery.

This song wouldd have been one of the worst on Food & Liquor, have you listened to it? If you haven't, you're missing out. One of the best albums of the decade, no exaggeration.

I'll torrent it, I remember back in 07 when Superstar was all over the radio & I fucking hated that song, that chorus was so fucking annoying. I give everyone a try though so i'll download that album and see if I like it.

Superstar isn't on Food & Liquor, that's like dissing TES because you heard an Encore song you didn't like...

This will definitely reach a lot of people, clearly what Lupe intended. Hopefully this can get some good amount of radio play. And hopefully this will open the door for discussions and hopefully this will shed some light on ignorant people. Lupe is brilliant.

You would think and hope so but i already know the fate of this song. It will get very little airtime or plays on tv because of the content. There hide behind being "p.c" but that's obviously no reason to not play this. If they do i bet it is edited like crazy.

Sadly, that's probably the way it'll go down.

Come on. SERIOUSLY? The Cool to Food and Liquor is NOT what TES is to Encore. The Cool is a fucking great album.

Dumb It Down, The Coolest, Streets On Fire and Hip Hop Saved My Life are all really dope songs and can rival anything on Food And Liquor while pretty much none of Encore's songs can touch TES. Oh and Superstar is not that bad a song, it just had an annoying ass hook. In fact i'll go farther and say that The Cool is nearly as good and Food and Liquor.
