In my top 5 favorite white rappers. Everything about him just screams raw. I love his flow, his voice, his rhyming, delivery, his growth, everything. Not to mention his punchlines are crazy.
He's a great technical rapper yes, but there are alot of good technical rappers. The difference is I love his personality because he's actually embedded it into his music without sounding robotic. He's honest. He's an obnoxious, arrogant, douchey, white asshole who likes to get in arguments when he's extremely skinny but talks big and doesn't give a fuck. He reminds me of someone I know
Life & Times was a great move into the left field. He stepped away from the tough guy-punchline persona mentioned above and showed so much self-awareness. It was admittance of weakness, emotion...I related to it so much because I've been through similar strife. Honestly, it made me appreciate everything more because I know there's a big chance that I'm going to be in that position in life, where I finally snap out of it, take a look at what's happening around me and realize "Fuck, I'm alone now".
I could go on and on but I understand when people say they're bored by Copywrite. His voice/style doesn't appeal to everyone, and I've admitted that some of his hooks are just sub-par but I don't mind it at all. There are artists that just rap extremely well, and there's artists that I feel are actually speaking to me. Write is the latter.
No homo/I'm an idiot.
