Do you think it means the album is almost ready or something? He released this for the fans to make us wait for the album, because he's working on it right now nah?

An interview with Travis O'Guin awhile ago said that he wasn't sure if Tech could finish the album this year because of his record breaking tour + Canadian tour + whatever other tour he has coming up (Europe maybe). He said that if Tech couldn't get it done, or couldn't get everything he wanted (clearing samples, features, etc.) then they'd push it to 2013 and drop an EP for the fans. :y: .
wait for em :y:

For Man1x.

It's cool that he is satisfying fans, but I'm sure they wouldn't be disappointed if he scrapped the EPs and used that month on the album and pushed the date back, he puts out enough as it is. Just saying.

Alright, gotcha. He sounded a little sad on that, maybe it was just the volume.

He did. I dunno, I think when he does the KOD-type shit, it puts him in a mini-depression. He seemed like that while he was doing that during KOD, and the note that he has written on the Lost Scripts CD case (and the Seepage one too) it seems very...well, confused and sad. The man has some serious shit going on in his head.

Most great artists do have some serious shit in their head... that's why their music is like Walter White's meth to us.

Yeah, whenever my dad's in the room and someone talks about Michael Jackson's death or something, he'll alway start talking to me about how fucked up MJ was in the head, how he couldn't go to sleep because he couldn't shut his thoughts out, all that. I know plenty of how great artists are fucked up.

Well a lot of artists make music for purposes like that. I mean writing to a beat, and just really being submerged in the music is really something special. A lot of great musicians tend to be known as the "Tortured Genius" or something along those lines, because sometimes their genius derives from the fact that their life or their mental state in general enables them to really express themselves... which in turn, we are able to connect and relate to it.

See this is the part that bothers me. Many of these artists aren't giving a single fuck whether or not you (meaning listeners in general) can relate to it. They're simply laying down their own personal story and you're taking that and mentally disfiguring it to fit your own for some sort of emotional satisfaction. It's like self-contained plagiarism. You've most likely never even met that person.

Enjoy the (hopefully) crazy rhyme schemes and flows whilst appreciating the story that is being told. Stop trying to make it all personal to you and shit :n:
