For those who don't think Pac is a goat, can you explain why

I meant that the artists, that most hip-hop fans consider goats, like Nas Em etc., are superior in many aspects .. For me, Em, Nas or rakim are all better lyrically than pac. When it comes to flow I feel like there are many of the elite rappers that are better than him, and even back in the day with Notorious. Now, nobody can take away from the fact that he is one of the most important rappers ever. And he had a really unique delivery, no doubt. But for me, the rappers that I consider top5 are all better than him. I do feel like pac is top 10, but not top5. That's what I basically meant lol

Pac was a great lyricist. When you sit down and read his lyrics, it's almost like you're reading a poem instead of a straight up rap song. His rhyming wasn't the best (which is why I personally don't consider him THE best, but he is a GOAT no doubt) but he had the storytelling, the lyrics, and the passion that Biggie didn't seem to have. Even though I prefer Biggie because he was a far better rhymer. But Pac was straight up quotable. Pac in the zone was a vicious MC in his own right.

But many rappers today are better than Pac. As lyricists and rhymers and rappers. Eminem, for one, does what Pac does and does it far better, Kendrick Lamar is another. He is very much like Pac in many ways, and he knows how to rhyme his ass off to boot. Jay-Z rhymes better, but Pac was better than him as a rapper, artist, and lyricist. Same thing with Nas.

We need to realize that Pac is only a GOAT because he never had a chance to fall off. That's the cold truth. Today, if he was alive and making music, I feel like he wouldn't get near the amount of praise that he gets than when he died. You can relate to Pac, sure, but that's not what I personally look for in music. Therefore he is not really a PERSONAL GOAT for me, even though I can acknowledge him in the Top 5 Dead or Alive for his music.

Well that's why people used to consider Em a GOAT and now they don't...because Em had a chance to fall off. If he died from a pill overdose his legacy would have been sealed just like Pac's was. I'm not debating his discography, I'm debating what his future discography could have been.

2pac retired the term GOAT in 1996 before it was even created/coined by LL Cool J.

IMO Besides how songs sound, sonically pleasing. Passion > all other elements. His will never be matched.
Every rapper knows it. A la best alive/greatest rapper alive being used in replace of GOAT by a lot of them.

personally I wouldn't put big in the top 5 goats I feel ready to die is his only classic and his dbl album had way too many fillers and was good at best.

Yeah me either, I understand and accept why he's known as top 3. But personally I'd much rather listen to Pun and Big L.

Pac will always be considered top 5 to most people, MCs, magazines, reviewers etc and he'll always be your favorite rappers favorite rapper.

lol is he for real?...I'd lose millions of skin cells off my fingers if I bothered to type out the literally 100's of songs that aren't about that concept. And the hard thug shit didn't even start till AEOM, which he still continued his socially conscious records afterwards as well.
