I never once heard a reviewer or critic say this, they are both on almost every single known rappers top 5 we know. Especially Tupac his music will live forever and he is a Legend... He died in 1996 and it is 2013 now 17 years later both Pac and Big are still being mentioned everywhere, people around the World still talking about them and bumping there music like it just came out today. It is alright for people not to like there style but the dudes earned there status and respect. Not to mention they both died extremely young and never got to grow as artists to there full potential.
Anyone who dies at their peak is going to have an inflated fan base / following / recognition because of the potential that can't be lived out. So people listen to the music wondering what could've been.

BIG n PAC is and always will be Rap/Hip Hop as well as Legends not because they were Popular or people liked them, it is because of there Classic Music.

I agree and disagree Jay had more albums than BIG and a much longer career so Jay has more singles to compare to BIGs single songs. AS a whole album Ready to Die is better than all of Jay's albums imo (im gonna stop saying imo cuz people should already know that, just dont want people to jump on my dick and say shit)
I still dont think BIG hit his prime after 2 albums....Life after Death had a lot of fillers and some average songs on there.

Reasonable Doubt - The Black Album
EDIT: I agree with Geno, both Pac and Biggie are terribly overrated. Listeners yearn for what they could have created, so they constantly listen to what they have released and put their skills above others because of their deaths.

No, I agree with that
Whether it was homage, influence, or just plain swagger jacking; he definitely bit his steez.
But like any Jay fan will tell you, he became a much better lyricist than Big.

False. I'm a pachead and the reasoning you just used is flawed, he is considered the greatest because of the way his music made people feel, the way he could connect with people. you act as if he wasnt the biggest rapper while he was living lol
