I have to say that there is really just not possible that Kanye West made his video so bad on purpose... I do think he actually think its great, work of art and all the "fancy" words he likes to throw out at his creations. I love Kanye tho', and I enjoy his music a lot (Yeezus did dissapoint me a fair bit though, but I do like some songs of that album a lot, Bound 2 being a highliht). Anyhow, I think, with all honesty and respect, this time he did fail on this.

The thought of "I'm gonna make my video boring and bad on purpose, just because..".. doesn't seem to be convincing. In no sence of anything. He is proud of it and he thinks is good.

Now if we look at the video from the non-visual perspective. It is a good idea, if you picture the motorcycle, the horses, KK naked bouncing on Kanye.. the old' western type of background, and production details.. all the idea sounds good on paper. The only real problem is that this was executed poorly.

There is no more or no conspiracy or nothing else... it was just executed poorly.

That argument doesn't make any sense because Kanye clearly has a history of making good videos. You say it's the execution but why would he suddenly decided to execute this video like a 12 year old when he's had such great videos in the past? He clearly knew it was made so poorly when he saw it. Kanye may be delusional about his own self perception but not when it comes to judging the quality of art.

because I don't think it was necessarily Kanye's fault that the video was bad. I do however think that his delusion or ego (or whatever its supposed to be called) blinded him unconsciously. Because I really really do find it absurd that they made the video bad 'on purpose'. you know what I mean?

I like the video just because it has an extra chorus at the beginning, and I love the chorus. I wish the video version of the song was the version on the album. Also, I thought Kim looked like J.lo in the video.

But isn't that the despised defense that Em fans use to defend his dumb shit? That it was intentional? I just think he wanted it to look cool and minimalist, and it just looked bland. Btw it's 'latter'. No, I'm not saying that for the sake of saying "ha fuck you" or to be the grammar police, but for future reference the difference can actually be pretty funny depending on where you use it. Reminds me of when Katie Jordan and Peter Andre (another profoundly self-obsessed, putrid couple who think the Universe exists to focus on them) made a video.

Any one who don't know who they are... just look it up, they did 'a whole new world' together and it was also revolting.

This has artistic and off-centre elements due to Kanye's involvement and input, I like how weird it feels, and I like how he always visually experiments and tries to push some kind of new format.

But overall - MEH. Also, his rapping on this song is abysmal - the lyrics are unbelievably fucking lazy, even by Ye's standards. He shouldn't be getting so much credit for music this average.

Taking someone else's music and lazily babbling some petulant shit in between the hook isn't good enough to call yourself, or have others call you a genius. Srzzly.
