Kanye is a A+ producer, but really, REALLY only a B rapper.

He doesn't have zero breath control. He purposely raps like that to sound full of emotion. Like on "Homecoming". The lyrics on that wipe the ass with anything 50 has wrote.

50 mumbles the same cliche' babble about guns n hos every album. And he's one of the least creative rappers in history. He's an embarrassment. Where as Kanye may not be as tight or structured as some rhymers but he's original. And again, the actual content. The things he says are way better than what 50 says. Way more witty or poetic or whatever the case may be.

I saw him live some years ago at Roskilde Festival in Denmark and it was obvious that he ran out of breath all the time (he also got critised for that in the newspapers the following day). It's also quite obvious in some live vidoes from different concerts.

Kanye has never been as lyrical as 50 was on Power of the dollar and Get rich or die tryin'. I know those albums are old but it would be foolish to start comparing Kanye's last album to Before I self destruct.

Eminem is rapping about his mom on every album and keeps talking about celebs while Jay-Z mentions his drugdeals all the time. It doesn't necesarily make you bad that you talk about the same topics as long as you manage to make them interesting. As he said in an interview; he has lived 28 years in the "hood" and 5 years as a celeb - why exactly should he start rapping about other things just to please people? The street is where he was born and bred.

If you listen to his albums there's always a decent variety of topics. I suppose you havn't listened to them since you seem to always blame 50 Cent for the same things all the time.

He mentions Eminem at the end of this video. Kindda praises him.

Eminem on "Good ass job". Thanks in advance, Kanye :y:

College Dropout really impressed me. To be honest I couldn't stand Kanye before but that album was real nice.

Besides Cleaning Out My Closet and My Mom when has Eminem made a WHOLE song about his mom?

I've never been a fan of Kanye as a rapper or producer really.. I mean, there's a decent amount of great songs he's made, but not enough for me to ever want one of his albums or bother downloading them even. Idk.. just not my style I guess. I mean, he's a punchline rapper that has lower level punches than Drake or Wayne even, just not great imo.

As for his production, I've always liked his heavy drums, but as a whole never got into his beats either..

As a rapper I give him a 7/10 overall.
As a producer I give him a 7/10 overall.

Jack of all trades, master of none.
