Immortal Technique and Tech N9ne are boring; and yes, Em+N9na collaboration is the last thing i'am looking for.

MBDTF > Recovery, but Recovery > the rest of Kanye's discography.

All of Blueprints sucks. Jay's best: American Gangster.

Slaine's "A World With No Skies" is fuckin' great.

SSLP is forgotten, look at Wolf Gang success. Being shocked by their lyrics is impossible for a man who remember what Shady was back in the days.

Tyler The Creator is cool, the rest of the crew sucks.

I feel bad for Yela, 'cuz i think he's talanted and i'm not sure, that he'll get the props he deserves in Shady.

Dre sleeps with everyone whom he produced for. Everyone.

Yay lots of opinions i didnt expect.I am not into hiph-hop for too long like y'all ,to actually get more into this but here are some of my thoughts:
I dont understand the hype around Mac Miller,Odd Future,Wiz Khalifa,Lil b,Soulja,Gucci,Weezy etc...they are all awfull ,either it's abt the beats choice, the voice or plain dumb lyrics.
I can't stand 3AM ,y'all can hate.
Relapse>Recovery.Storytelling>verses based on a subject>dope but meaningless punchlines
Crooked I>Joell>Royce>Budden(as solo artists)
I like Encore.Yes his worst album but i enjoy listening to more then half of it.
At first i couldn't stand Yela when i saw his videos, but when i just listened to his mixtapes he grew on me<3
MBTDF was/is overrated.I listened it 2 times and deleted.
I hate 2Pac/Biggie debates.I also feel they are overrated cause of their deaths.
I dont think i ever listened to J Cole,Lupe Fiasco,Kid Cudi or B.O.B other then their singles.
D12>SH for me so far.SH feels like they all trying to kill eachother on the track with those punchlines.
I think EazyE became a "legend" cause of his beefs with Dre.
I liked Em's accents on Relapse.Tho i agree with the idea that if it wasn't an Em album i probably wouldn't have listened.
50 is way too hated. Not sure if is cause of the GUnit inside beefs or him being cocky.
Except a few tracks i can't get into WuTang.
Most underground music sucks,Yeah i said it.Way too praised at times, like those artist never tryed to be mainestream(known)
I dislike Nicki Minaj lol.
A good beat CAN make a song 1000000 better.
Nas is amazing as a lyricist, but he can be boring at time. It's NOT all about the lyrics.
I feel like Snoop Dogg is good only when he is on a track with Dre.
Copywrite is dope.So is Hopsin.
I feel like Xzibit and DMX are both underrated.(or maybe its cause they haven't been in the public eye lately-music wise)
PS:this should be called Truth or Dare thread,it's mostly about opinions anyway.

Nas is an excellent lyricist, but his music bores me most of the time. Sorry. And I think Yelawolf is dope. :'(

i cry when people call kanye an "MC",although i love kanye he aint an "MC"

Recovery is the best album of 2010 and it will be a classic in 5 years

Wu Tang sucks

Mobb Deep is boring

Relapse is a masterpiece

Lil Wayne is a disease to hip hop

Youre a fucking faggot, don't ever talk to me again faggot.

Nah jk, but seriously you're making me tear my hair out.

KillahBee wrote:Some of these opinions have me baffled :o

Anyway heres a few of mine:

Wu Tang Forever is better than 36 Chambers in terms of rapping and production (36 Chambers is the greater album though)

The Eminem Show is overrated - has a few classic songs, but the production is pretty bland and aged horribly, plus some of the hooks are awful

Black Album > Blueprint

Takeover and Blueprint 2.0 > Ether

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Twisted Fantasy is the best hip hop album since Hell Hath No Fury

Tha Carter 3 isn't a terrible album (shock horror :o ) either is Blueprint 3

Cosign on these. :worship:

Some more worthless opinions that I hope pisses you guys off

Jay z is the more well rounded mc than Nas, whereas Nas is the better lyricist. Jay makes a lot more enjoyable songs.

Eminem didn't murder Jay z one Renegade, they both had dope as hell verses on that song. One of the many reasons people like to say Jay got murdered cause of Nas' diss on Ether.

Ghostface had the best verse on Verbal Intercourse.

Jay z gets a lot of unneeded hate, for whatever reason, when he's better than a good 70 percent of underground rappers. (number I just pulled out of my ass)

Big L is THE most overrated dead "legend", yeah he was great and it would have been fascinating to see where he would have went, but people like to act like he would be in Jay z's position right now if he was alive, which is just pure bullshit.

Big L was one dimensional as fuck and couldn't make songs other than how big his dick was to save his life.

Jay z kept up with Big L on 7 minute freestyle.

Half the members on DITC are better than Big L, tbh.

Big Pun, was robotic as hell with his multies and only gets compared to Biggie so much, because the were both fatasses.

A ton of people like to conveniently look over, Yeah Baby and constantly praise Capital Punishment.

If Prodigy died after Hell on Earth he would have a bigger reputation than Big L or Big Pun even.

Prodigy in his prime had arguably the best delivery in the game.

I 100% agree with you. I love Jay-Z and it seems like he gets hate for BP3 (which wasn't THAT bad) and...I don't know being rich and successful

Keep in mind this is the same guy who referred to Pun's second album as "asscheeks".

I think Nas had the best verse on Verbal Intercourse with Ghostface as a close 2nd place and I agree with the whole "Eminem murdered Jay-Z" dilemma. It was extremely close but Eminem had the better verses by a small margin.

No doubt, Eminem's verses were better, but people like to act like Jay dropped wack verses which isn't true at all.

About Verbal Intercourse, I probably played the fuck out of his verse and got bored of it really quick. And I'm probably a Ghost stan, but I like his energy on his verse better.
