i don't know if you can explain why he
is great. i've listened to most of his prominent discography and i've yet to hear anything past good. his flows are very simple, as well as his rhyme schemes, and his cadence is the worst part of all. the dude has the mic presence of yoko ono. now, that said he is a very solid and extremely consistent mc. but from my experience, nothing beyond that.

i really don't think he is. not even close. kendrick would get steamrolled by people like rittz or wax, shit even snow would fuck him up. kendrick's passionate as fuck but don't confuse that with talent.
but all this is besides the point. i was disagreeing with you that his music matches the hype, i can't think of anything that could live up to kendrick hype.
