@Kez it's pop music, it's only point is being catchy. That's all pop music has going for it.

There was a time when it had amazing compositions and it was catchy (MJ, and Prince are the most notable). Now they've taken out 70% of the music and replaced it by making the beat incredibly loud.

I think it's one of the best. I just feel like it can be the most enjoyable, fexible, complex, and creative genres at its best. At its worst, it doesn't deserve to be called music lol. Obviously, as others have said, there's a lot of great music in other genres and its hard to just focus and pinpoint on one specific genre of music.
