I don't believe Eminem ever stopped producing, it is just he barely put out tracks produced by him since he returned. Heck, Em was producing a lot in 2008, he even admitted it here

You know, the more I keep producing the better it seems like I get 'cause I just start knowing stuff."

How exactly do you know he hasn't been producing? Asylum, Going Nowhere, etc. could have been newer beats, and that's just like last year-ish.

The We Did It beat reminded me of the ending of Cleaning out my Closet (Probably my favorite Eminem beat). I definitely believe Asylum and We Did It were produced when he returned/was returning, Going Nowhere and you think I am crazy sounds like something he would have in around 03-05.

I didn't mean he stopped... I meant that whenever he starts to work on his new albums he puts everything else aside. At this point of his career that means producing too... esp. considering Recovery. Of course he was way more active with it in the process of any album before Relapse & after TSSLP.

I meant they just purchased a beat from Em too... he definitely didn't do it exactly for Cashis (apart the older ones he definitely did for him).

Eh, you never know. I don't see Eminem charging someone who used to be on his label, especially if there's no bad blood. That would be like charging Obie for his Richard verse, I don't see him doing that. If they were already done Cashis might have just asked Em if he had beats for him and Em gave them to him. Or, Em might have even reached out to Cashis like "These beats sound like you might sound good over them, want them?"

Yes sure... Em could have easily helped Cashis with free beats... he's always been generous in this way. I meant to say they just asked for beats... not purchased like paying for ones from a catalogue or something. That's why I said he wasn't taking time to make beats for Cashis exactly... he probably just had them pick the side ones from his stack.
We can't be sure but it's pretty possible.

I don't like Layin in the cut much as I liked You Think That Im Crazy and you re right that the song is forgetable but I think he could get a bit buzz for all the features and Em productions
