A great British MC that is so under the radar and never gets a mention on this site is a north east Geordie rapper called Stig of the Dump. He essentially plays the stereotype of us Geordies; a fat, hairy, aggressive drunk. It works well and he's an incredible lyricist, he's even collaborated with RA the Rugged Man. Go check out his EP 'The Homeless Microphonist' all the tracks are on YouTube and I think he's got a debut LP coming this month.

Also Rhyme Asylum are way ahead lyrically of most mainstream American rappers out right now. America unfortunatly just gets force fed all the garbage grime artists which makes our hip hop scene look like a joke but we have a hell of alot of artists that go just as hard as you yanks.

But they are speaking English no? not their native French which has different variations in different regions which can result in differences. You can not say all of France sounds similar because they sound similar speaking a foreign language. You can easily pick up American accents of Americans speaking Russian no matter if they are from Boston or Louisiana.
