Sell more albums = recieve more attention / exposure
Recieve more attention & exposure = more legitimate people buy your album
More legitimate people buying your album = success

Similiar thing but it's basically just a way of creating more hype and promotion for an artist, that otherwise may not be possible. In some weeks it could be the difference between a #1 or #2 album as well.

That's where YM artists suck don't have confidence on their own caliber and resort to such idiotic activities.
Other Real Artist's who spend night and day in puttin out a dope record and sometimes sell less are they not victimized, are they stupid or what ?
