I like some of Canibus tracks,but he does use some pretentious words all over his songs .It's like he's saying"hey look how smart i am using all these complex words" lol.It's not even about people beeing dumb or whatever,but some people have a hard time understanding normal hip-hop slangs(mostly people that don't like in US),listening to Canibus for some is like readig a dictionary .
