Devil In A New Dress is dope and one of the most important songs on the album. And I'm not even a Rick Ross fan but his verse on that is sick.

His verse is alright but the song itself is nothing special.

It's just 'nice'. It's not bad music, but it's just... lukewarm. There's nothing special about it to me and "Chain Heavy" is far more 'important' in any artistic sense, it's more lively, it has attitude and it's definitely more album worthy than that song.

And actually, "Chain Heavy" ties in with a lot of the lyricism and themes, and would of capped all that off nicely. DIAND is a total 'meh' fest.

Chain Heavy becomes annoying as hell after a minute. At first the whistling sounds pretty cool but there's a lack of variation throughout and it ends up just grinding on my ears. And I think DIAND is much better artisitcally and fits in better with the whole (for want of a better word) "sound" of the album. I think if you took Devil In A New Dress out there'd be a significant gap.

Well I'm not going to argue if you find it annoying, that's just innate taste and if it's annoying to you then so be it. Just like DIAND is boring to me.

But I don't see how you can say 'Devil' is artistically better. 'Devil', is essentially just another relationship track with a religious vibe. I know a lot of people will try and dress up the metaphor to be something else but that's all it is.

Where as "Chain Heavy" tackles much 'braver' themes artistically. Much more uneasy themes and anything which is more taboo or requiring more intelligent handling or execution I think is therefore more commendable artistically. Relationships / love are the blandest, most broad, most unexciting topic to tackle. And the song itself doesn't do anything new enough worth shouting about.

And you already have "Runaway" and "Blame Game". And everything Kanye said in the first verse on 'Devil' is basically threaded in the DNA of "Blame Game" and to a much better effect.

And whilst I don't think anything Kanye said on "Chain Heavy" was particularly great bar a few lines, and a few things were just fucking dumb... regardless - it's a good song. And much more worthy of inclusion for the sake of its themes and relation to the album's imagery and vigor.
