Why did Drake sign with YM and not Roc Nation/GOOD?

OK, I like Drake, I like Wayne. I have no hate for YM. However, I feel Drake would have been much better off with Jay or Kanye. His mixtapes prior to being signed were sick. I still like him, but TML was a little disappointing. I still liked it overall, but it could have been much better.
If he was with Kanye/Jay, he'd have:

-Access to much, much better beats and production. Kanye alone > any beats YM can make for Drake
-Better mentor(s). Wayne is good, but Jay is a legend and would be able to give much better advice.
-Better collabs. The only good collabs YM can give Drake is Wayne and Nicki. He could have had Jay, Kanye, Kid Cudi, Common, John Legend, Big Sean, etc.
-More respect. I like Wayne, a lot, but Kanye and Jay get much more respect.
-He fits in more. YM is kinda southern, and is a bunch of kids. Drake just seems like a man among children with them.

I think you all would give Drake much more cred if he was with Jay or Kanye. I feel like he gets a lot of hate just for being YM.

He became good friends with Wayne, him and Jay or Kanye or Cudi coulda been BFF's too. And TML was good, it just coulda been a lot better, Drake has said so himself. Kanye only had 1 beat on TML too. An album of Yeezy beats > whatever else Drake will ever get.

...none of those links suggested a beef at all. I've read all of those, anything can be misconstrued. Besides, this is all recent stuff. Drake wouldn't have had a chance to beef with Ye when he was unsigned, so it's irrelevant.
