Best tribute song to Hip hop?

A couple of days ago I dusted off LL Cool J's Mr. Smith album and listened to it for the first time in a few years. One of the best tracks on it is Hip hop which is a great tribute track to the genre. It's like he is telling my story about the music.

Quite good album by the way. It's up there with his best ones.

Mr Smith is a sick production, ''I Shot Ya'' in my opinion is one of the best hip hop beats of all time. Though i would like to class this as my tribute.

Well it was my favourite song off Paid In Full, and the whole album pioneered rap in the late 80's to step up lyrical skill. Rakim and Big Daddy Kane are probably the two biggest pioneers, but i gotta tribute my favourite track from Paid In Full.
