Hate for Jay-Z's Kingdom Come album?

Postby FreeSpeech » Feb 22nd, '11, 01:18

I don't get why everyone thinks this album sucks, I really like it. It's very chill, a laid back album. It's no Black Album, but it's great to just relax to. The lyrics are all on point and very personal/thought out. 30 Something is an awesome song, "I'm young enough to know the right car to buy but grown enough not to put rims on it" is such a good line to me. Lost One is a beautiful song, there really aren't any bad songs on it. Show Me What You Got was a hit...

Honestly, I don't get it either. This album is an ok album. IMO, his worst album BP3, which isn't really bad tbh.

This is why Jay-Z has one of the best discographies in Hip-Hop :worship:

Eh, I like a few songs, but it's up there with BP3 under his worst albums category

Seriously, it's nowhere near his worst album.

Jay's worst album is CLEARLY - Life and Times of S. Carter (Vol. 3) and The Dynasty (Roc-la-familia).

Those are average albums overall, not even if you think about it Jay's standards.

Kingdom Come is a decent album, but it's nowhere near what everyone expected for a comeback. MJ my ass.

It has some cool tracks on it such as Lost ones, Beach chair and Minority report. I just felt that too many songs were boring and were no where near what he is capable of on the mic (the day he decided to dumb down his lyrics was a sad day).

I like the overall theme of the album though.
