Yeah he has sold well over 1 million copies. I see people say he is one of the first to do horrorcore rap, if not the first.

I just finished dloading Life and Times of Peter Nelson by Copy, and now the one u recommended
Season of Da Sicness might be too raw for you, just saying (its from 1995)
i suggest just starting with his album from last year...Dinner and a Movie
