Good god, how do ya'll ride their dicks so hard? I just listened to State Of Lunacy all the way through:

The accents are obnoxious (though I understand this won't bother everyone, so no biggie) and their voices are just mediocre. Their rhyme schemes, tempo and flows are identical in most of their verses. They seem to be slightly off beat a lot. Their topics are OK, but they're the kind of "oooh look how sick I am with my big words and violent metaphors" rappers that annoy me. Their beats aren't bad, but nothing gave me an eargasm.

The thing that annoys me is they'll use bigger words than necesarry. I'm all for rappers with good vocabs, but you can tell that they do it a lot for the sake of the multis. Sometimes, less is more, it feels more natural and passionate.

I feel like they are one of those groups that once some people hype them, everyone hops on board and sucks their musical dicks.

It put me off from really giving them a real listen, if I could get past that hurdle than I might be a fan. I do like Poison Penmanship though, and the song they did with Diabolic, but only really listen to it for Diabolic's verse.

Yeah, I don't hate them, but their music is very repetitive and it's hard to feel the emotion when they just care about multis and sick imagery. Their music just feels cold an not personal at all.

I could see what you mean as in that their lyrics are something that a headbanging 14 year old metal fan would scribble in their notepad during class. Not trying to slight them as obviously they put a lot of detail into their craft, and they have great wordplay, what I mean the subject appeals to said demographic.

As for the notion that they're monotonous, might have to do with their accent. A lot of my favorite rappers are monotnous though, so that doesn't really bother me.

I'm new here but on most forums they don't even get mentioned which means they are severely underrated and will have dedicated fans because they are diamonds in the ruff. Obviously it's the type of rap they prefer which would account why you prefer more personal and relatable stuff biasing you against them.

Being serious though they're just not your type of rap, I got over the accents during the first listen of State Of Lunacy, their wordplay is some of the best i've ever heard in my life, their voices/delivery sound evil on most songs which I like.

One thing I will agree with though is if you just started listening to them it's quite easy to mistake one song for another because of their repetitive content, they have mostly 2 types of songs: wicked wordplay & emotional. For me their repetitiveness isn't a bad thing at all it's exactly what I want & expect from them, no matter how many songs they make with the same formula of just going in & dropping hot wordplay verses I'm still going to love it if it's on par with the rest of their shit. At the end of the day they're just not for you (your loss really).

Not to mention you're trying to make it seem like they're horrible or something probably only because so many others on here praise them.

I'm British so the accent doesn't really bother me. And there is at least three tracks on Solitary Confinement ('I Know', 'Don't Wanna Be' & 'Life Support") that are 'personal' tracks so to speak and have content other than the usual brag verses. But I agree with the OP to some degree. I always get slated from my friends for saying sometimes less is more, it's probably the same reason I get bored of alot of underground rap acts. I'm all about the multis in rap but I like them when they sound natural.

I haven't listened to a lot of their songs, but I'm not a big fan from what I've heard. I can appreciate that they're talented, and I would never say they aren't, but I just personally am not into their music. I guess I just need more than lyrics. Plus, the accent does make things harder for me to understand, but I can get past that with some artists if I really enjoy their music.
