Amazing beats wasted on mediocre/bad songs?

OK, right now, Game's Red Nation is pissing me off. That sample is THE sports anthem, it could have been amped up a bit and been a smash motivational track. A Till I Collapse-esque song. Instead, it's a mediocre Blood song. Eh. It's not remotely relatable.

What other beats that have had great potential have been ruined? I'm not talking about just nice beats with bad artists, but beats that could have been used to make anthems/bangers/classic songs.

It's not that Mos Def is bad, matter of fact he does a decent performance on this beat, but I would FUCKING LOVE Ghostface on this beat. He has the perfect energy that would do this beat complete justice like his performance on The Champ. It feels like the beat is leading Mos not the other way around, Ghost wouldn't have any of that.
