I downloaded "Doggumentary", but have not listened to it yet.. I heard 2 tracks before (Boom & Wet - commercial, but still great).

But on tracks like "Kush" he clearly shows he still CAN rap like he used to, but maybe he does not want to do music like that anymore...

And I don´t understand why people hate that "Winning" song. It is not bad.

his verse on kush was acceptable too, but the rest of his new shit is too wack and non-enjoyable. He was last dope during the blue carpet treatment, after that he fell off exponentially

Yeah bro, when I first heard Wet, I hated it, but something in me wanted to play it once more.. The Remix with Jim Jones is good, too + the song is produced by The Cataracs (I kinda like dance music).

Boom is the return of Scott Storch and you cannot say that beat is bad. I love Snoop´s voice, it fits, so.. Why not? I did not expect huge lyrical performance, I expected party track and I like it

Makes some good songs every so often, but Snoop is the kind of guy where all you need is his Greatest Hits CD, and you can live with that.

the way you approach a snoop dogg must be wrong,he is not lyrical,the only technicalities he has are his flow and god-awesome delivery,yes he fell off,but Doggystyle and The Blue Carpet Treatment are classics.

There's nothing wrong with that.

When Dr. Dre is in the studio with Snoop Dogg, then Snoop gets to work. Snoop's quality rubs off on Dre too.

Snoop and Dre have never made anything short of a great song.

Snoop now is lazy, he's all about quantity and getting it out there as soon as possible because he has so many other things he has to do too.

Fwiw. whenever he's required to step his game up, you can see the quality.

It's all about motivation with Snoop. The suggestion that he's horrible or amongst the worst rappers is ridiculous. Doggumentary had some dope songs (The way life used to be, My own way, Eyes closed, Don't need no, We rest, Take you home, Only thang) where you can hear the effort being put in.

Ok, i understand that they worked well together in the past and they need to work now... BUT, ddnt Eminem and Dre always produce dope tracks? Wasnt Royce a major ghostwritter on 2001? Really dont know who he refers to "in the environment" but they all seem to have had a previous track record of fantastic Dre collaborations. That said, you could be right. It could work that way (Mobb Deep and Nas for example)
