Watch The Throne Drops July 4th, According to The Source

The Source has received a solid date for the release of Jay-Z and Kanye West’s collaborative and highly anticipated album Watch The Throne: July 4th.

The information was shared exclusively to The Source by a source very close to the Hov and Ye super project. Later on this evening there will be a G.O.O.D. Music event presented by Heineken and Kanye West held at a still undisclosed location in New York City. Rumors are speculating that at said event, Kanye and Jay-Z might be making an announcement about the July 4th release date.

Once the July 4th date is confirmed, remember that you heard it here first.

Fireworks indeed.

Ye is the best dressing rapper out there imo.

Tho that headband was a 'bad choice', or however you wanna say it.

Kanye better have produced the majority of this. Getting that little fuckstain who did H*A*M was as big of a mistake as Kanye's ever done, and I'm including you in this discussion, Autotune.

808s was great. It was 100% heartfelt and he could only have accomplished it via autotune, he felt rap couldn't convey his emotions yet he isn't a great singer. It doesn't bother me because he doesn't front like he's a good singer. It's only when artists who build their careers on being singers (Britney, Chris Brown, etc.) rely on it to fix their failing vocals that it's bad.

And yeah, HAM, while not as horrible as everyone made it seem, was not good. I didn't give it many replays. I'm pretty sure Ye will produce most of WTC, or at least get guys like No I.D. when he doesn't. HAM was probably just a toss out track, at least that's what I'm hoping. If WTC has mostly Ye production and him and Jay make songs with content (a la Diamonds, Never Let Me Down) it will beat Bad Meets Evil, which I like. Monster > most of HTS except The Reunion.

I hated 808's, if you're a rapper, be a motherfucking rapper. If that was a rap album, and he used autotune on a few tracks here and there to try and let the audience know what he was feeling around that period of time, I would excuse it and at times welcome it ('Amazing', 'Welcome to the Heartbreak', 'Heartless') but for an entire album, smh.

I didn't even like Monster to be honest, I hate Ross and I hate Nicky. I thought Kanye had the best verse in it by far though. I loved So Appalled (vintage Hov) and Power (remix) though. I liked The Joy a lot too.

That's straight up 100% ignorant, why confine yourself to one genre? It's not like Ye did some shitty Rebirth cheesy pop trash, it was an expertly crafted album. Very unique too, no one has made a similar album. I didn't even give it a chance at first (wasn't as big a Kanye fan then), but when I did I loved it. 808s is great, very identifiable.

That's my favorite Nicki verse, and Ross killed his 4 lines haha. I loved Jay's verse on it, him and Kanye were equal to me. "I smell a massacre, seems to be the only way to back you bastards up" Plus Bon Iver MURDERED the intro, I wish he had more on the song.

All 6's and 7's is not a classic either.

When Lasers 808's and MBDTF are being called that I have NO hesitation to call this a classic EP

If that's the case then the EP and All 6's and 7's are classics yeah.
Lasers is decent at best.
The other two albums were horrible, wouldn't even give it a 4 out 10.
