Pretty nice vid...
Personally I'm a big Yelawolf fan already. His mixtapes are brilliant and he has a lot going on, a lot of potential and I can't wait to see what he's come up with for Radioactive.
I love the fact he writes so visually too. That's like a true artist, rather than most rappers who, even great ones - aren't necessarily great artists as in, they just write constant / random verses and then hooks, for the sake of making a song.
Yela is very conceptual and visual. Hopefully Em being around him will inspire Em to think more conceptually again also.
It's also good he writes the kind of songs that NEED videos or, can be enhanced by videos. As so many artists' songs are so limp and 'matter of fact' that it's a stretch to even make a video for it, let alone the song actually benefiting from it.
But this song almost begs a video from the get-go. And it's exciting to have somebody now in mainstream hip-hop arena who's already consciously writing on that sort of level. And he concerns himself with more than hip-hop, and meshes a lot of other genre influence. So I think he may eventually expand the genre a little like Kanye, due to being that kind of rapper.
He's also a perfect fit for Shady Records. His image and sound work so well and 'feel' right next to Em and with the label's image in my opinion.
