"Black Lip Bastard (Remix)" Music Video

Postby Man1x » Aug 10th, '12, 05:48

Coming straight from Control System, Ab-Soul's critically acclaimed album released from the vaults of Top Dawg Ent., is the new music video for the album's final song, "Black Lip Bastard (Remix)." The Black Hippy (Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Schoolboy Q, and Jay Rock) collaboration's video is here, check it out:

In other Black Hippy news, Kendrick Lamar has just released his second single from his up coming album "good kid, m.A.A.d city," "Swimming Pools (Drank)." This too comes with a new music video:

In addition to all of this Eminem and Slaugterhouse gave the Stan stamp of approval to now being able to like Black Hippy, but fuck... What's not to like? They have three of the dopest rappers to be doing it right now and Jay Rock maybe able to step up his game on his next album. We can only wait and see. Anyway, speaking of Slaughterhouse. They just dropped their fourth single (lol) called "Goodbye," and it's fucking deep. It's honestly one of their best songs and just plays with your heart strings. It's a dope single worth checking out, but fuck the last three singles. They sucked dick. The mixtape is looking good, just try not to bitch about it being pushed back when it never got a release date (see Slaughterhouse thread). Finally, ICP tapped Hopsin and Tech N9ne for a track. I suggest waiting for the edited version without ICP.

Lello wrote:Kendrick and Soul were great as usual, however, I have to give props on this song or Jay Rock, he really stepped his game up, but ScHoolboy Q was kinda "meh" on this song. The video is cool, wish they'd do one for Illuminate or Bohemian Grove

Schoolboy Q usually kills the group songs but I agree, he was in everyone's shadow. On this song it was so fucking close between Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock. Schoolboy Q was just doing his don't give a fuck persona trying mesh with Kendrick's attitude on here. I like listening to all their verses, but yeah... Schoolboy Q usually goes way harder. Personally, I'd like to see a video for Empathy, Book of Soul, Sopa, Double Standards, Pineal Gland,... Fuck it every song is so good it deserves a video. This video was dope for being obviously low budget.
