Does the production on a song affect how much you like it?

Would you still like Eminem's Rock Bottom if Young Chop - the guy who mainly produces Chief Keef's beats - produced it? Instead of the serious tone the beat held it was filled with Young Chop tags and gun fire every five seconds?

All right, maybe that was a bad example. But I hope you all understand what I mean?

Tyler, the Creator's beats are always funky and dark. Rick Ross' beats are always energetic and party-filled. Would you still listen to a Tyler, the Creator song if it had a Rick Ross type beat, and vice-versa?

Or do you guys not care about production and only focus on lyrics?

Everything has to beperfect for me so yeah, the production is important.
The beat doesn't have to bang but the beat needs to fit the song

Most rappers are pretty versatile if we talk about beats... the difference is some of them could do better than others & to some like Eminem for instance it is not even important if the beat is even that good.
There are rappers that depend on the beats though.
