Damn... Immortal gotta be way more active... I understand his frustration of the current status of hip-hop but he just fucking stopped pushing hard as he use to.

There are some things there that are a little conspiracy theory-ish, but he's on point a lot of the time. Most of the time, even. He's a very intelligent guy either way, the genre could use a few more people like that, whether or not they're talking about the same subject matter.

It's definitely true that he isn't as focused on pushing songs out anymore, but he's been busy. Buying that farm in Peru and building that orphanage (or was it a school for orphans?) in Afghanistan, along with performing and whatnot. He's starting to increase his output though, with The 3rd World in 2008 (I think), The Martyr last year, The Martyr 2 this year, and then his Detox-status album The Middle Passage supposedly later this year. The release on that last one though has been pushed back for so many years now though that anyone's guess is as good as the next.

I'm a little confused about what you're saying though. If you're talking about Revolutionary Vol. 2, then sure. The projects beyond that don't talk about Bush specifically much at all. He doesn't actually mention specific politicians much in songs anymore, but in his interviews, he's probably spoken more about Obama being a war president than anything about Bush or Republicans. As far as conspiracies go, I would say that it might be more difficult than you would think to find much "conspiracy" rhetoric in much of his post-RV2 work either. There is definitely political content there, but it isn't hard to verify much of it.

To each their own, of course.

I agree but it looks like he's in his own genre & his own community & doesn't even care about the general hip-hop genre anymore. I think he's disappointed by a lot of his peers & just gave up on the hip-hop community as a whole.
I give him mad props for all his work both in music or outside of it but I think he doesn't even wanna be affiliated to the general hip-hop genre in a way.

I agree, it can be a bit much at times, but this is what we've come to expect from Technique, this is why we listen...It's like saying "I like steak, but it always tastes like steak and never chocolate" lol...

I bump tech a lot but when I've had enough of the political shit or whatever I just throw suttin' else on...

Find me a rapper that doesnt speak bullshit. I like tech but i always grit my teeth when he says something stupid but i learnt to ignore those lines. His interviews are great tho.
