Honestly he's changed a little but you're right... definitely not much & it all at least resembles a great deal to what it was like so long ago. Jay went through phases though!
Overall Rae's been pretty much consistent & dope all those years. :worship:

This is nice though.

Nasir kinda went trough phases esp. in comparison to Rae. But I get your point... he was consistent enough & never went to far from his own self artistically.

I don't even think Jay came close too Nas in there beef, Nas murked him in every possible way.
For the people who just come and with 1 line posts and say Jay killed Nas or something stupid like that, it has been broken down several times on tr as too why Nas destroyed Jay with Either.

Well you are all wrong about the beef thing... but you're right about that been discussed too many times & we'll definitely get off topic.

The thing is Jay career & his empire blossomed right at this period & he put like a few artist on exactly 'cuz of it while Nas solo career stalled & the artist he was dragging with him vanished right after. It was obviously only 'cuz the beef too 'cuz Nas albums at the time were great & definitely went lower than they supposed to exactly 'cuz of the beef.

The thing is a lot of the people who comment on that haven't even followed all that closely & just put the diss records against each other. It was way more than that & it was pretty much obvious & as a matter of fact Nas realized he fucked up himself & even singed to Def Jam under Jay Z hoping to end the nightmare. I could go in details but it isn't the right thread & I don't wanna cause shit storm either. I suggest you should dig way deeper than what you know about it if you are really to understand what really happened back then. I was fortunate enough to witness all that step by step in the build up. Nas lost so bad that even Bleek & Beanie were put over him for a certain period of time while The Bravehearts & Jungle were mocked & then vanished.

bigray wrote:Yep this can cause a shirt storm ur right....but I think in Either Nas's lines went so hard on Jay he couldn't even come back with another diss record. And come on bro Jay was never really considered a dope artist in the 90's no one really cared about Jay back then until recently (00s), to many amazing rappers in the 90s....I only started listening too Jays music the past few years cuz of all the crappy shit that is out today.

Thats what I'm talking about the diss records nothing else really.

Nah man you're wrong again... Jay was always considered a great & even Biggie has said that before he left. You've missed the best part of Jay's career homie.

Could have been a better rapper but he was inactive a lot of the time on the way... as for an artist Jay's always been way ahead.
Both of them are heavyweights though... no doubt about that.
