I don't know why you guys are so surprised.
They excel at signing talentless people, with manufactured personalities, that like to call themselves artists. Paris Hilton does music, and the quality and substance of that music will fit in nicely at one of the shallowest, most vapid labels to ever exist. This is a good move for both of them.
Between this, and that new Limp Bizkit album, I'm not sure what I'm looking forward to more from YMCMB.
