I love Kanye because he has no fear of being different. You can't call him a gangsta rapper, or hardcore hip-hop, or horrorcore, East Coast, West Coast… he's just him, and he can do no worse than that.

Integrity: he always does what he wants, even if it's initially unpopular. And he doesn't waiver.

Innovation: he always strives to do something new and different from what he's done.

He's rarely complacent and he's always thinking big and abstractly, trying to cause a dent, create a new lane, provoke or define a new era. He's also always striving for artistic truth: by that I mean, he's always REALLY trying to re-create how he feels or what his vision is... his intent is always noble and authentic.

What I don't understand is how Kanye has some of the best albums ever but has some of the worst features I've ever heard (he once managed to get his ass owned by Drake on a fucking song).

Oh, and I love Kanye because he doesn't do the linestep. He does something and he does not move from that stance, even though I do tend to disagree with some of his decisions. However, he's humble enough to know when he fucks up i.e. the Taylor Swift thing.

He's not much of a technical rapper, but that's because he's more than a rapper. He's an artist.
