Lost respect for Macklemore and Hop. Then again, judging by his actions, Hop could be schizophrenic....

I like some of Macklemore's shit, but think it's funny how he bashes on Recovery and then makes shit that's way more compromised and pop.

:shakehead:

No dude, he's definitely not compromising. His music is pretty fucking genius, actually, ESPECIALLY thrift shop. Not the concept, but the way he does it.

I meant compromised in sound, he linked up with Ryan Lewis to give him the radio feel. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the Heist and think it's a monumental album for this time.

I just think it's funny how he bashes Recovery and then follows the Recovery formula.

Maybe he was joking. Or maybe he was drunk.

real talk.

Bronson calls Eminem the worst then says he would like to collab with him.

:facepalm

Bronson said he really loves Eminem but was disappointed because Recovery was not Old Em. He handled it really well, saying he thinks everything he said. He didn't back down like a bitch.

Travis Scott is the fakest motherfucker around. He doesn't deserve to be in the industry.

Hopsin disses a famous rapper, he's starving for attention.
Tyler disses every rapper ever on twitter, gotta respect him.

 @ Hop saying Em had a worse verse than Wayne on "No Love"

 @ everyone shitting on Wale

I :facepalm2 at the Macklemore tweet. I honestly love most of The Heist, but come on... Recovery shits all over The Heist.

I wouldn't call what I've heard (and I've only heard their singles) compromised.

Just because something happens to be able to be big on radio, or catchy, doesn't make it compromised.

Look at "Lose Yourself". It's one of Em's biggest singles and one of the biggest radio hip-hop songs ever and yet it's not compromised in any aspect. It's authentic down to the bone.

Also, I don't think he was calling Recovery shit due to it being commercially big or having pop hooks, he was probably referring to the harsh, messy production and other flaws.

I hear what you are saying, but you'll really have to listen to Macklemore's older work to see what I mean by compromised.

Take his 2007 effort as a starting point....

Listened to some of it, doesn't sound all that different.

In fact the singles I heard, he just sounds a lot better.

He kind of sounds like he can rap now, he was pretty terrible at actually rapping there - his flow was alright but the lines and the rhymes were corny and bad.

Musically doesn't sound all that different - jazzy, bombast / traditional kind of polished production.

Don't hear how he's compromised tbh. Still sounds like him.

Language of My World has an indie underground hip-hop sound/vibe, while the Heist sounds much more grand, pop, and radio friendly.

I haven't listened to either album properly fam, just going by what I heard from listening to a coupla tracks off of Language of My World and a coupla tracks off the Heist.

Will give full feelings when have listened to both properly.

His rapping sucks ass on Language of My World doh.
