Never been a fan. Is it actually quality material or does it sound like he was just trying to pump out songs?Aone10 wrote:He had a similar run between 2004-2007.
Damn. Does he have any hardcore lyrical shit with crazy flows and all that? Just trying to find something I'd be intoAone10 wrote:Elision wrote:Never been a fan. Hope he delivers
Quality for the most part, they weren't all solo efforts, but he did deliver on every single one and by no means do they sound rushed, and it's not just me speaking as fan, these albums are either critically acclaimed or have favorable reviews.
2004 - The Pretty Tony Album (good album, not his best, but still a very good album) Got an 8.2/10 on Pitchfork, a 9/10 on rap reviews, 4 mics in the source, 4/5 on Vibe
2005 - 718 (side project with Theodore Unit) (It was a group project, Ghost shines all throughout) Album didn't get much reviews, but managed a 4/5 on Allmusic
2005 - Put it on the Line (Collab album with Trife Da God) (another collab album, Ghost shines as Trife Da God isn't all that good. It's a mixture of solo songs from each and a few collabs)
2006 - Fishscale (Considered one of his best albums by both fans and critics) 88/100 on Metacritic
2006 - More Fish (A part 2 to Fishscale, doesn't fail to impress either) It got an XL from XXL, but mostly 7/10. Critically the weakest one, but I love it.
2007 - Big Doe Rehab (Another solid album, not his best, but solid nonetheless) Rollingstone 4/5, Blender 4/5, Pitchfork 8/10, Pop matters 8/10
2007 - 8 Diagrams (with Wu-Tang Clan) (Another collaborative effort with the entire Wu, I like the album and thought Ghost had some of the best verses on it). All music 4/5, Pitchfork 8/10, Pop matters 8/10
Pretty impressive fucking run. Never doubt the god yo, never fails to deliver.

I used to have all of their cds back in the day.... I sold most of them at one point when I hit a rock bottom

The god got it. He's done it before. I don't know how he does it....

It wasn't by far but he was always my fave Wu Tang rapper... his catalogue is untouchable.
Same here. Ghost is in my top 5 tbh. He's always on point, out of all the albums he's put out, there isn't a single bad one.
Aone10 wrote:Francesco wrote:Plus he's always been heavily included on the group albums & on a few of the other solo ones outta Wu Tang. Definitely one of the greatest rappers of all time...
Yea, he's always murked every Wu-Tang release and his work on OB4CL is![]()
It is pretty much a Raekwon and Ghostface collaboration album tbh. He even has a solo song on it. lol

Can't wait.
Method Man always comes through on the Wu albums as well. His best work is definitely on the group albums.
