Just these past few days I went through cudi's discography and it reminded me of what a great artist he is.

Here's the thing, with him, you should not be expecting to be blown away by his lyrics because he's not very skilled in those regards. What Cudi offers though are incredibly atmospheric, mellow/dark/surreal/trippy songs that are seriously a joy to listen. He has made some of the best hooks in recent times too. He also needs to be given props because he has been doing his own shit for a while. He basically came up with his own style and has been experimenting since then.

Anyway, great artist. Songs that are a must listen are:

- Soundtrack 2 My Life
- Pursuit of Happiness
- Heart of a Lion
- Marijuana
- These Worries
- Mr. Rager
- King Wizard
- Immortal
- Just What I Am

just some personal favorites. cudi has a lot of amazing songs in my opinion. indicud (his last album) did let me down though. omega made some really good point. cudi isnt a very good lyricist or an amazing singer, although i enjoy his voice. if you smoke, its best to just get high and chill out by yourself and put on a cudi album haha

The person who said that didn't know much about hip-hop then. As I mentioned, Cudi is not a great lyricist. However what he lacks in lyrical skill, he more than makes up for it with the emotional punch his songs deliver. There are though some songs that have legitimately great lyrics like Soundtrack 2 My Life.

Does he still blaze? I though he announced he quit.

He announced he was going to calm down on the drugs and focus more on his life and then nothing really happened and he returned to drugs and made Indicud which is an album more or less dedicated to being high lmao.

Cudderisdope :y:

In addition to the material already mention in this thread, I'd also suggest his 2008 mixtape, A Kid Named Cudi.

Don't listen to indicud if you are just getting into Cudi.

Both Man on the Moon albums are excellent but you have to listen to them in the right mindset to enjoy them. You won't find lyrical wit, extended multis or killer punchlines but if you don't expect that you will be amazed by the journey his songs take you on.

Also it helps if you are really really buzzed

Very solid list. I'd only add Creepers, Day n Nite and my personal favorite, All Along.

You have to listen to his albums in fully to really appreciate him though. MotM I and II are fantastic. WZRD and Indicud not so much.

Well, his earlier stuff.

This... he's a good artist indeed but nowhere near the best rappers & all that. I generally like him as well.
