The internet. Why buy that new J Cole or Kanye or Eminem album when you can download it for free?
Think about it. Xzibit can't even sell more than 3000 albums anymore.

I think it's not really about the sales but more about the quality of hip hop. Every single genre is affected by the internet piracy.
