Knock Madness first impressions?

Postby knockmathers » Nov 24th, '13, 11:13

So post your official thoughts after a couple of listens.

I am really digging it, as a big fan of Hop and have waited for 3 years this is not dissapointing..

I understand why people think every song sounds the same. When you are not really into an artist every song sounds the same, some people think all eminem songs sound the same, I think Tyler the Creator songs sound all the same, so yeah there's that.

Too early to rate it for me but go ahead if you want to!

So yeah solid album, I don't think Hopsin can do much better, come to think about it, he made every song himself, no other producers whatsoever, that's pretty fucking sick!

Share your thoughts!

I've only listened once...

Some good rapping, album gets more boring as it goes through though...

My honest reaction is... it didn't cause much of a reaction.

I don't feel compelled to listen to it again (though I will, multiple times, just to really see what it's about), right now it sounds absolutely the same as everything Hop has done.

Seems like he is only capable of 1 sound.

But not only that, it just didn't strike me... none of the songs stood out that much, it just kind of felt like a bland, predictable ride. Not bland compared to other music, just... feels so familiar and nothing really distinctive... all the tracks blend and it feels like the same old shit on repeat.

1st reaction: Not great but not bad
2nd reaction: Pretty good, can listen to this album a few times

I enjoyed the production a whole lot, and Hopsin did well enough, but honestly something feels missing from this album.

It's good so far... nice rhyming & all that but nothing really special to be honest.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts.. It's not a game changer or anything but it's a really solid album..
