He tries way too hard. If Disney won't cut you a check because you're a musician, and you believe you have more to offer them, you have to prove that. You can't just be a rapper, call yourself a creative genius and expect that to be your fucking resume. Make something and present it to Disney. Whatever it is, if it's good enough they might listen. Disney doesn't usually doesn't associate it's brand with people that could polarize their fans. It's smart business. They've done it with voice actors that are controversial before, but that's different than every news story about the project having KANYE WEST in bold lettering.

I'm not sure why he doesn't just produce outside his genre and experiment a bit. That's how a lot of hip hop producers get mega famous, working with people and expanding their boundaries.
