Just because his music up until now was audible bile doesn't mean it's good. Going from a wet steamy dog turd for dinner to regurgitated dog vomit isn't much of an improvement.

I don't know how you or anyone else could be so hard on him, it seriously must be because of who he is. I don't believe you honestly listened through his recent album and thought that it was garbage where he lacks ability in any range or component of rap music.

His lyrics are pretty standard but that is far from the only thing to judge when evaluating a rap album lmao, or any album for that matter. I don't know why that would make it any less of a good album (I realize the thread is about Mac Miller himself but you referred to it as "that generic shit" and that the album itself is a waste of time). He has great lines throughout the album anyway, and if you can't recognize that then it's probably bias; because surely if someone you liked, say an artist of Slaughterhouse (because that's the only other music I know you like) rapped some of Mac Miller's lines you'd probably love them.

Again, I feel like he's being underrated just because he's Mac Miller. If this was his debut, people would probably just say "Eh, he's okay", which, albeit not complimentary, is much different than "Regurgitated dog vomit" and "garbage" and so forth...

I listened through it and it wasn't hot garbage mostly because I enjoyed the features.

His monotone voice just doesn't do it for me. I have tried on a number of occasions to listen to his music, and I struggle to make it through an entire song. This is pretty pathetic, but i thought his MTV show was better than his music. He just comes off as a cornball when he raps IMO.
