Damn. I just discovered him. For some reason I didn't take him seriously but after listening to The Dream Shatterer and now his whole discography, I put him right next to Em lyrically. Shit's insane.
Thoughts?

its "little did we know that we riddled TWO middlemen", ya dig?

But for some reason I always had a wall up against Punisher… I guess because "Big Pun" sounded lame and I just didn't expect him to be good. I'll tell ya though, first 4 bars into the first Pun song I ever heard I had already shit my pants 5 times. Truly one of the greatest. Ahead of his time.
If he hadn't died he might be the GOAT right now, he is rapping like Em on MMLP2, on his DEBUT from '98

nah, not better, eminem is much more versatile than pun imo, pun, from a technical standpoint, is rapping on an elite level, but to me, eminem has that versatile, flexible, adaptable artistry. If pun didn't die, i don't think he would have seen much longevity (at least in the mainstream facet of hip-hop). To me though, Big L shits on both of them in terms of punchlines.
