Looking for some suggestions

Lately I have been trying to find and get into some hip hop that deviates from a lot of the usual gangster, mafioso type genres. I've been checking out Gang Starr, and of course know Outkast, Kendrick, ATCOQ, and Nas. I'm wondering to see what you guys have to say since googling also hasn't worked many wonders. I'm fine with any era from 80s to present. Also so it isn't said since I think some might suggest I do plan on listening to some Mos Def and Talib Kweli (notably Blackstar.)
