Herbal T - Lo-Fi Blow Dry [Album Thread]

I've always liked Herbal T. Sometimes he looks like Wax in disguise lol

I listened to the album after creating this thread, I enjoyed it. In fact, I'd say it's a solid album. Most of the time I'd say a cohesive and consistent sound throughout an album is a good thing, but in this case it was a little too cohesive, to the point it got a tad repetitive. Wax & Herbal T are pretty even as lyricists, but what gives Wax more appeal is his ability to construct a song, as well as his melodic talent. His musical talents seem to show more in the music also. Sometimes Wax can get a little too ambitious for my liking, though.

Honestly, I don't think it's how cohesive/repetitive the project is. I think it's the fact that Herbal T doesn't always mesh with the style as well as we'd like for full album like this (with all his literal emphasizing on rhymes). It still is a pretty good project though in my opinion.

And I get what you mean about him and Wax. I honestly haven't listened to these guys in a while though, this tape was the first time since like Scrublife.

Scrublife is a really good mixtape. Album quality mixtape in parts.
