I really enjoyed Liar & A Thief, but that was 4 years ago. I can't see how 'Bolic can progress stylistically to keep me interested on this upcoming album; hopefully I'm wrong.

I'm not really expecting much of a change from him, don't think he's one of them types of artists. They'll be some dope beats and features though, no doubt

At the end of last year, Madlib announced he would release an instrumental double album of psych, kraut, and prog music called Rock Konducta. (With that announcement he shared a track called "Hold The Organ".) The first half, Rock Konducta Pt.1, was released on vinyl earlier this year.

Now, he's revealed that the second half will be released on vinyl July 8, and the full collection will be released on CD and digitally July 15, all via his own label Madlib Invazion. The CD and digital versions will contain over 50 tracks, including 14 ones not found on vinyl.

From Run DMC’s Dookie ropes to Kanye West’s Horus piece, chains have always been essential part of Hip-Hop culture. But while anyone can rock some gold around their neck and think they’re as fly as Eric B and Rakim, medallions are only worthy of a chosen few. Over this Rocky-esque “Gonna Fly Now” beat from J. Cardim, “Medallion” has Fluent revealing the inner-workings of his hustler’s ambition from a hard working youth, to his surreal, lavish lifestyle. Coupled with a hook from Action Bronson, the track is an ode for those who are moving fast from the bottom to the top, a mentality that is frequently showcased on Fluent’s upcoming LP, Supreme Victory, which is produced entirely by J. Cardim. With appearances from Nipsey Hustle, Joe Budden and Guilty Simpson, Fluent is prepared to show and prove that he can last a full 12 rounds and come out victorious.

Brick Records readies the REKS & Hazardis Soundz collaborative album, Eyes Watching God. The concept album has the duo showcasing a contrast between “good and evil” beginning with a “God Side” and finishing with a “Devil Side.” The CD artwork features a dual-image album cover showing both the ‘Good’ and ‘Evil’ sides, depending on what angle you view it from. The Massachusetts lyricist linked up with the Queens native in South Florida to complete the album during the past year, and they enlisted N.O.R.E, Saigon, Fredro Starr, Termanology, Ruste Juxx, Dutch Rebelle and others to add to their cause. The result is a highly conscious and fiercely political album.

“Working with REKS on this project has been a great experience. The creative process was organic and effortless. We were in the studio together for every song on the album and it was as simple as me showing Reks a beat and him picking up the pen and writing. Nothing was ever forced. I am really proud of this body of work and I’m very excited for the world to hear it.” says Haz.

REKS adds, “It felt natural working with Haz. He has a great ear for music and was interested in me trying beats I am not accustomed to spitting on. It helped me diversify myself a bit”. The chemistry between the two is evident throughout Eyes Watching God, which drops on CD and digitally on 7-15-14.

Today, REKS releases the latest jewel, “Garvey,” from Eyes Watching God, as he links up with Noreaga & Saigon for a titan collaboration (the video for “Garvey” will be released on 7-15-14)

I'm almost finished with "CC: Weekend At The Cape", which is a follow up EP to Connecticut Casual. I think I should leak a song.
