JAY-Z selling out

i've always wondered this but always forgot to ask. why is it that it was such a big thing that jay-z sold out the garden? when many other artist's including rappers have done so too. I just dont see what the big deal was unless was he like the first rapper to do so? i dont know, help me out here cause there's ton of people who sold it out and didnt get as much press from it.

i guess its been his life long dream to sell out at his home town at MSG(kinda like how eminem sold out at ford field) but idk
