Dont know if this counts but here we go...

See y'all don't understand me
My plan B is to win ya hearts before I win a Grammy
Kendrick Lamar, words like a sword in the hands of a Spartan
Marching on Rosecrans in Compton
You can't cause conflict or corrupt my spirit.

Kendrick Lamar - I Am (Interlude)

Smile on my face, tears of a sad clown - Jay Electronica
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

Doesn't take much and that's messed up
Because these people do a lot of simple shit to impress us

:worship:

adding because I'm listening

Hell's not under the ground, Hell's all around
So either you didn't know or you just don't care
But I was in hell when you told me to go there

The "sad clown" trope has been around as long as clowns have been around, and "tears of a clown" as an expression has been around since the '60s, possibly earlier.

I've said it before:

These are the results of a thousand electric volts
A neck with bolts
"Nurse, we're losin' him, check the pulse!"
A kid who refused to respect adults
Wore spectacles with taped frames and a freckled nose

As for an honorable mention:

Since my date of birth, brought you nothin but hurt
Play those video games, stole change from your purse
Sat on the cold court bench til I was arraigned in your skirt
Saw the pain in your face, still you maintained a smirk

So many battlefield scars while driven in plush cars
This life as a rap star is nothing without heart
Was born rough and rugged, addressing the mass public
My attitude was "fuck it", cause motherfuckers love it

Haters started to appreciate my art
And it just breaks my heart to look at all the pain I caused
But what am I gonna do when the rage is gone?
And the lights go out in that trailer park?"

"Living off borrowed time, the clock ticks faster"

"This aint a promise it's a threat"

"I've got this music in my head, I've got this hole in my head
I've got this bird in my hands that looks like it's been crushed to death"

"I said, "what time you get off?"
She said, "when you get me off"
I kinda laughed but it turned into a cough
Because I swallowed down the wrong pipe
Whatever that mean, you know old people say it so it sounds right"

"Use your fist, please don't knock
My loose teeth are yours to take"
