The birth of it, lol. I unno 97, historically speaking. The got Funcrusher Plus I guess, but I also don't see LAD as a shimmering masterpiece that a lot of fans do, same for Wu-Forever. Also just the general hip hop climate with everyone piggy backing off P Diddy made it terrible, even if it had some gud albums.

This year we got Pinata I guess, though , I haven't been listening to hip hop as much anyway recently.

I think this year will be saved in these last few months. I'm ready for some new shit but hip hop being dry this year gave me a lot of time to check out some older stuff I've never got around to hearing. I still have Ghostface's whole discography to go through.

What?!?!?!?

Start right now. lol

And add Only Built 4 Cuban Linx to the mix, it's pretty much a collab album between him and Rae as he is featured on just about every song.

Well I've heard Supreme Clientel, it's just been a while. But Cuban Linx has been on my list of things to get .I've just never gotten around too it, but I'll be sure to check it out.

Really this would be a better discussion in hindsight, life after a year or two. When everything's been evaluated and any potentail albums that are gold slipped under the radar, maybe there's some Mista Thug Isolation out there just waiting to be discovered, but considering how quick everything is to get a buzz with blogospheres. I unno, definitely the weakest year of the 10s so far. Especially since 2010-2012 was great.

You haven't listened to much from this year if you think wu tang forever is better than anything from this year
You think your personal attacks make up for what you lack?

The year started out pretty good with some albums being good like YG's, Asher's and even Rick Ross dropped a solid project. After that it just got worse.

Thinking optimistically, if this year doesnt end up picking up in the last quarter because of albums moving to next year, then at least next year will be fucking amazing....
