Singin' "Bagpipes from Baghdad" again
In my dad's drag draggin' a faggot in a Glad bag
Won't be the last time I make a dramatic entrance like that again
You thought I was lyin' when I said I think that I'm crossin' the line again
I've lost my mind, caution oh God I think I've just thought of another fucking line
Forgive me father, for I have sinned
But hip hop has left me brainwashed with a violent streak

Why start with Life After Death instead of Ready to Die? It's his first album and widely considered one of the greatest of all time.

Biggie is one of the best lyricists of all time, you could tell he lived everything he said. The ideas and flows in his raps where ahead of his time. A masterful storyteller.

Some of my favorite Biggie songs;
Gimme the Loot
Juicy
One More Chance
Everyday Struggle
Big Poppa
Just Playing (Dreams)
Hypnotize
I Got a Story to Tell
Notorious Thugs (Ft. Bone Thugs n Harmony)
Sky's the Limit

"Soon as I stopped saying I gave a fuck
Haters started to appreciate my art
And it just breaks my heart to look at all the pain I caused
But what am I gonna do when the rage is gone?
And the lights go out in that trailer park?"

He's also fucking dead, that's why people think he's so good.

But given the standard that NO RAP ARTIST HAS EVER PUT OUT A LOT OF GOOD PROJECTS IN THEIR LIFETIME IT FEELS LIKE yeah, sure, you could consider Big a legend.

You can't go wrong with Ready To Die - any song.
I find Life After Death to be a bit inconsistent in comparison.

I agree. If life after death was a bit shorter it could've been a lot better than what it is.

Was Life After Death a double album?

And I found Ready To Die, bought it, and fucking happy as fuck! Amazing.
