But...this is the STUPIDEST fucking list I've ever seen in a while. Complex is legitimately toilet paper with print on it, how many motherfucking articles about Kanye and Kim do I have to see before one about Hip-Hop eventually drops - and subsequently sucks.

Too many of them, I do find some of their articles interesting though.

They keep saying Young Thug has had one of the best verses of the year but have yet to explain why that is.

This is a garbo list, I'm actually mad this was made cause it seems like it was just made to get the nas stans and jay stans out of the woodwork to go at each other's throats but it's done in the most seemingly lazy way as possible. I could come up with a top 10 list a million times better than this. But just to clariyfy some of their positions, which complex is awful at. I'm skipping a bunch of points cause they're retarded.

1. Nas was a self made rapper at 21 with no mentors and changed the game forever at 21 (I guess Large Professor is a mentor at an absolute stretch) but yeah, whereas Jay z had a fuckton and only started calling himself KONY till Big died.

2.Duh, rofl. But seriously illmatic isn't even that much ahead of a bunch of other Nas albums, I hate the retarded veneration it gets.

3.Absolute bullshit both hopped on the Jiggy bandwagon except Jay had more success than Nas did in that regard. Although yeah a bunch of Nas' gimmicks has started trends or were conversation starters like Hip Hop is Dead.

5. Skipping number 4 cause that's a retarded point. But yeah this is a big one, lol, I can't understand why so many people overlook Jay's constant homages when he does it like every damn song. It's the most annoying thing and is the opposite of a catch-22 when he quotes Big. It's ether people don't recognize it and they think he's clever or if he gets called out on it, it's just "BIGGIN UP THE BROTHER". Besides the way he always quoted rappers somewhat irked me, there's tons of ways to quote rappers and personalize the lyrc.

7.This is really dumb, but Life is Good is more lauded than any current jay-z album other than arguably American Gangster. Oh yeah and WTT where lol, lesbireal most people like that album cause of Kanye (I know I do). So anyone who wants to go at Nas is irrelevant should really shut their traps when jay-z's critical success relies off collabing with ye or making huge attention whorish moves (not that nas is immune to this) like WELP IM RETIRING, WELP THE KING IS BACK.
