South ruining hip-hop?

Postby Nick419 » Aug 16th, '06, 01:25

sorry but i got to do it. the south is really fuckin up hip-hop. and the worst part is we're letting it happen....it seems thats the only music thats coming out that we're litsening to ,u dont see any good lyricist coming out thats having success these days. Some reason snap music is taking over, i'll admit i like it and its fun to dance to but only to a certain extent. 1. it all sounds the same cause everyone makes up there own dance thats similiar (lean wit it, rock wit it.,shoulder lean, etc.) and the beats are all similar just cause they developed a sound thats all alike (alot of snaps, and just generally sounds the same). and most of all the kindergarden ryhmes that they have. the only rappers from the south i really think deserves props is T.I., Luda chris, and lil john. I know people might have a problem with my opinion but its the truth. so dont fight with me cause like i said, i like it too but it just shouldnt be at the level of fame its at cause honestly i want some good shit to come out now. i wish this phase would just end or at least die a little :(

hip hop has been dead.... i don't see what's wrong with making music people can dance to... if people are buying it, it's what they want to hear.

just because you don't want to hear it, doesn't mean it's a bad thing. it just means you have different taste.

to say the south is ruining hip-hop is a dumb thing to say... the south doesn't have influence over every MC and certainly not over all of hip-hop.

plus... most of the southern rap you people will never hear because you don't live hear... you'll just hear lil jon and shit.. but you'll never get to hear the underground good shit that's on the radio here.
i didnt say everyone ,i'm talkin about dem franchise boys, d4l,etc. or "snap music" i mean come on man u cant honestly litsen to their music and call them lyricist its mostly preschool ryhmes i mean they say the most simplest shit as long as it ryhmes. If u read what i said u would see i said i respect T.I., luda chris and lil john they at least have a different sound then everyone else.........and why is everyone postin what they think and not voting?

I think that the current southern rappers have ruined hiphop. They're all mediocre and talk about all the same shit. I really think that people need to listen to obie trice arite.? Why is T.I. getting regular rotation when dope rappers like obie are nowhere to be found by people who haven't heard him yet.?

u dont think that puttin out terrible music and making it become main stream hip-hop is ruining it? then what the fuck are u on? :confusion: and logan i'm not just talkin about eminem i'm talkin about every rapper who's not from the south ... i mean their the only ones sellin when true artists like ice cube amoung others aint sellin shit when their the ones who really deserve respect not some dudes droppin elementry ryhmes....and i like drl and dfb too but like i said only to a certain EXTENT, when their the only thing hot in rap thats when the problem comes.

fuck you, damn racist.

anyway,

south is ruining hiphop, in anoter thread i compared lyrics... and ima do it again :smoking:

ok no one on here can tell me that these are stunning lyrics...
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Im hot kid
Chains so low you would think that diamonds never stop it
And it's funny cause you could never stop it
A bunch of rocks on my hand n I aint even on the block yet
Show em white gold sorta hold em like my tims
And a chain hang 24 inches like the rims
Diamonds all blown up yeah sorta like a pimp
So wehn I like hit the ice
It starts glistenin off the tims (off the tims)

My chain hang
All it do is blang blang
Have blue, have red
Like my diamonds gang bang
And dont even think
We on the same thing
Charms so heavy they couldn't lift it till the crane came

 now im not sayin i can do way better but, im learnin and im tryin and stuff, but that... just plain out sux :zipped: that songs doin good, but wheres obie :zipped:

PEOPLE are killing hip hop, recreating it into this newer age of music, it happens with everything. Everyone thinks they era was best n the next is skilless. I personally like the newer brand of hip hop. Things have only gotten better, from gangsta rap to crunk, respectivley.

yeah i know what u mean i just like older rappers who are really about the lyrics like pac, rakim, etc. u just dont see word play like that anymore or story telling in music which is really the dopest shit out there.

also its more of the artist's fault cause their the ones making it ,the people are only killing hip-hop by buying it but all people have their differnet tastes..................lmao i cant wait to hear nas's album "hip-hop is dead" its going to be about some real shit not some fake ass dance stuff.....also other artists are on my side too i've seen an interview about how 50 cent believes the same thing as i do
